Bihar Police Sub-ordinate Services Commission ran Sub Inspector (SI) recruitment 2026 under Advt No. 09/2026 for 150 posts at Level 6. These are Police Sub-Inspector (General Closed Cadre) posts in the Special Branch of the Home (Police) Department, not the regular district SI cadre. Online applications ran from 9 July 2026 to 9 August 2026 and are closed. Any-stream graduates could apply, and the fee was a flat ₹100 for every category. Last updated: 29.09.2026.
This is a separate cadre from the regular SI recruitment, so its numbers should not be compared with the 1,275-post round of 2023. When BPSSC’s notice board was read on 29.09.2026, it showed no exam date or admit card for Advt 09/2026 yet. The regular SI recruitment running alongside it is Advt 05/2025, whose mains result is already out.
