CRPF Tradesman 2026 physical date is still not announced. Checked again on 12.09.2026, the CRPF notice board still carries nothing newer for this recruitment than the application correction window of 21.05.2026 to 23.05.2026, now four months old. No PET or PST timetable, no city or centre notice, and no admit card link has appeared since.
What follows is read off the 47-page advertisement notice of 08.04.2026, including the full trade-wise vacancy table that most pages summarise into four rows.
Physical date status, checked 12.09.2026
The notification never fixed a PET or PST date. It commits CRPF to publishing the timetable and the city and centre list on its own website, and to opening admit card download at least one week before each stage. Any date circulating elsewhere has no official source behind it.
| CRPF Tradesman physical date | Status on 12.09.2026 |
|---|---|
| PET PST date | CRPF has not announced the physical test date yet. |
| Latest notice | The last notice was the correction window of 21.05.2026 to 23.05.2026. |
| Application portal | The portal is live but shows only a candidate login. |
| Admit card release | It opens at least 1 week before the physical test. |
| Where date will come | The date will appear first on the CRPF notice board. |
| Notice of 10.07.2024 | That notice is from the old cycle, so ignore it. |
Note: Checked on 12.09.2026. The newest items on the board, the SI (Hindi Translator) 2025 admit card and CAPF Assistant Commandant LDCE results, belong to other recruitments. The portal returned a 502 error on 05.09.2026 and loaded again on 12.09.2026, with an empty Current Recruitment Openings list. The admit card will confirm the date, so it opens before the stage rather than after it.

Physical kab hoga, running kab hogi, admit card kab aayega
These are the three most searched forms of the same question, and they share one answer. Koi official date abhi tak announce nahi hui hai. All three follow a single announcement, so none of them can arrive before the timetable does.
| CRPF physical and exam date | Answer |
|---|---|
| Physical date | No PET or PST date has been announced. |
| Running date | The race is held on the same day as the PET. |
| Admit card date | It comes at least 1 week before each stage. |
| CBT exam date | The CBT follows the PET and its date is not out. |
| Physical date PDF | No physical date PDF has been issued. |
Note: The race is part of the PET, so there is no separate running date. The CBT is only for candidates who qualify PET and PST. The last PDF issued for this recruitment is the correction window notice of 21.05.2026. Any expected date is a guess. Preparing for the standards below is what a candidate can do now.
PET race, PST standards and who gets relaxation
PET is qualifying only, and it is run after biometric capture. A candidate who fails the race gets a rejection slip on the spot, and the notice records that there is no appeal against the PET race. The race itself depends on the trade, which is the part most summaries leave out.
| PET / PST standard | Men | Women |
|---|---|---|
| Race: group 1 trades | 5 km in 24 min | 1.6 km in 8 min 30 sec |
| Race: group 2 trades | 1.6 km in 10 min | 1.6 km in 12 min |
| Race: Pioneer | 1.6 km in 9 min | No entry |
| Height | 170 cm | 157 cm |
| Chest | 80 cm (+5 cm) | Not measured |
| Height: ST | 162.5 cm | 150 cm |
| Height: North-East ST | 157 cm | 147.5 cm |
| Height: hill and listed groups | 165 cm | 155 cm |
| Measurement appeal | Same day | Same day |
Note: Group 1 trades: Driver, MMV, Mali, Painter, Carpenter, Brass Band, Pipe Band, Cobbler, Tailor, Bugler. Group 2: Cook, Water Carrier, Barber or Hair Dresser, Washerman, Safai Karamchari. Pioneer means Mason and Electrician. ST chest is 76 cm with 5 cm expansion. The hill and listed groups are Garhwali, Kumaoni, Dogra, Maratha and candidates of Assam, Himachal, J&K and Ladakh, with chest 78 cm and 5 cm expansion. Appeals on height and chest go to the appellate authority at the centre. Carry the relaxation certificate to the PST or the relaxation is refused.
CBT pattern, qualifying marks and what decides selection
Only candidates who clear PET and PST reach the CBT. It is a matriculation level objective paper in English and Hindi.
| CRPF CBT pattern | Answer |
|---|---|
| Questions and marks | The CBT has 100 questions for 100 marks. |
| Sections | There are 4 sections of 25 questions each. |
| Exam time | You get 2 hours for the paper. |
| Negative marking | 0.25 marks are cut for each wrong answer. |
| Qualifying marks UR | UR candidates need 30% to qualify. |
| Qualifying marks EWS OBC | EWS and OBC candidates need 25%. |
| Qualifying marks others | All other categories need 20%. |
| Final selection | The merit list goes by CBT marks alone. |
| Documents | Carry 2 admit card printouts, 2 photos and a photo ID. |
Note: The four sections are General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Knowledge and Awareness, Elementary Mathematics, and English or Hindi. Selection goes by CBT marks once a candidate clears PET, PST, the trade test, document verification and the medical. Admit cards are colour printouts. The photo ID must be original and show the date of birth printed on the admit card, or a separate original date-of-birth certificate is needed.
A note on cut off marks, because the figures circulating for this recruitment are not real. CRPF publishes no separate minimum qualifying mark beyond the percentages above, and the shortlist is drawn on merit within each trade and category combination. That means the same score can qualify in one trade and fail in another. Any category-wise cut off table for this recruitment claiming numbers out of 100 has no CRPF document behind it, and this page carried such a table until 05.09.2026, when it was removed.
The 9,195 posts, trade by trade
The total splits into two recruitments that follow different rules, and the trade-wise table below adds to the official figure exactly.
| Trade | Posts |
|---|---|
| Driver | 3,176 |
| Cook | 1,426 |
| Bugler | 1,263 |
| Motor Mechanic Vehicle | 739 |
| Safai Karamchari | 547 |
| Water Carrier | 502 |
| Washerman | 363 |
| Barber | 231 |
| Tailor | 195 |
| Brass Band | 157 |
| Mali | 141 |
| Carpenter | 123 |
| Cobbler | 118 |
| Painter | 83 |
| Pipe Band | 32 |
| Male total, 15 trades | 9,096 |
| Female posts | 79 |
| Pioneer (13 Mason + 7 Electrician) | 20 |
| Grand total | 9,195 |
Note: 9,096 is the figure the notice prints. The 79 female posts are in 8 trades only: brass band, bugler, hair dresser, mali, pipe band, painter, tailor and water carrier. Pioneer posts are all-India with their own merit list. 9,096 plus 79 plus 20 gives the 9,195 quoted everywhere.
Two things fall out of that table. The Bugler figure is 1,263, not the 1,274 that circulates, and this page carried the wrong number until 05.09.2026. And 79 posts out of 9,195 is 0.86 per cent for women, in roughly half as many trades as men, on a notice whose cover page states that the government strives for a workforce reflecting gender balance.
Who could apply, age, fee and the domicile rule
| CRPF Tradesman age limit and fee | Answer |
|---|---|
| Age limit Driver | Drivers must be 21 to 27 years old. |
| Age limit other trades | Other trades need an age of 18 to 23 years. |
| Age relaxation | SC/ST get 5 years, OBC 3 years and ex-servicemen 3 years. |
| Qualification | Matric pass plus the skill the trade needs. |
| Application fee | The fee is Rs 100 for each post applied for. |
| Fee exemption | SC, ST, ex-servicemen and all women pay nothing. |
| Salary | Pay Level-3, Rs 21,700 to Rs 69,100. |
| Ex-servicemen quota | 10% of posts are reserved for ex-servicemen. |
| Domicile rule | Posts are state-wise and a wrong domicile cancels candidature. |
Note: Age is counted on 01.01.2026. Ex-servicemen get 3 years after deducting service rendered. The trade certificate or experience depends on the trade. The fee is per post applied for, not per candidate. Unfilled ex-servicemen posts go to non ex-servicemen of the same category. Technical and Tradesmen posts are state and UT based: a domicile certificate from a state other than the one on the form cancels the candidature at document verification, with no change allowed. Only the 20 Pioneer posts are all-India.
