The official CSIR advertisement sets the Computer Proficiency Test as a qualifying stage. Merit uses the UPSC CSE-2024 Mains and Personality Test marks described in the notice.

The advertisement limits this recruitment to eligible non-recommended candidates from UPSC Civil Services Examination 2024. These rules come from the CSIR notice.
