West Bengal Laxmi Bhandar status check 2026 no longer works the way most guides still describe it. The applicant tracking page that this scheme used for years now returns an error, and the department’s old web address forwards somewhere else entirely. There is currently no public online status checker for the scheme. The routes that do work are offline, and they are set out below.

Most pages still point readers at a tracking link that no longer exists. Here is the position confirmed on the official portals on 22.08.2026, so you do not keep clicking a dead link.

Note: The applicant tracking page on the social security portal returns page not found. The Social Registry is a family data collection form, not a scheme status page. The Kendra’s status service covers 25 schemes. Sanctioned lists stay with the District Magistrate and the local office. The office is the BDO, SDO or KMC.

Checking an application status

Because the online route is unavailable, the reliable method is to take your paperwork back to the office that received it. Carry identification, because staff will match your record before answering.

1. Find the acknowledgement slip you were given when the form was submitted, and note the application number on it.
2. Identify the correct office: the Block Development Officer for a rural address, the Sub-Divisional Officer for a municipal address, or the Kolkata Municipal Corporation office if you live under the KMC.
3. Carry your Aadhaar card, the acknowledgement slip and the bank passbook you submitted with the application.
4. Ask the office to confirm which stage your application has reached, since verification happens there before the file goes to the District Magistrate for sanction.
5. If your application was already sanctioned, check the bank account you gave in the form, because the money is credited directly and no separate intimation is sent.

The monthly rate was raised by the department in early 2024, and a large number of websites still quote the superseded figures. These are the current amounts.

Who is eligible for Lakshmir Bhandar

The conditions below are taken from the modified scheme guidelines dated 02.11.2023, which superseded the earlier version and are the operative rules today.

Note: The exclusion covers staff of local bodies and government aided educational institutions. Some official pages still mention the Swasthya Sathi card, so ask your local office if you do not have one.

Pending status and missing names

If your name is not found in the office record, if the status still shows pending, or if a monthly credit stops, the guidelines set out the specific situations in which each of those can happen.

Note: The beneficiary must be given an opportunity of being heard. A wrong account can make the transfer fail. Local verification comes before the District Magistrate sanctions the file.

Applying for Lakshmir Bhandar

Application is an offline process. The form itself is free, and you should not pay anyone to obtain or fill it.

1. Collect the application form free of cost from the BDO office in a rural area, the SDO office in a municipal area, or the KMC office within Kolkata.
2. Fill in the form and sign it, then attach self attested copies of the documents listed in the next section.
3. Submit the completed form at the same office and keep the acknowledgement you are given.
4. Wait for the local enquiry, which is carried out only by authorised government officials.
5. The BDO or SDO enters the verified application on the portal and recommends eligible applicants to the District Magistrate for sanction.

The guidelines list a specific set of self attested documents. Missing paperwork is a common reason an application stalls at the enquiry stage.

Note: The bank account must be a single account in her own name. The applicant is enrolled after getting Aadhaar.

Where to complain about Lokkhi Bhandar payment problems

The scheme is known locally as Lokkhi Bhandar and officially as Lakshmir Bhandar. Grievances follow the same administrative chain that sanctions the payment.
