The NCL HEMM Operator admit card 2026 is spent paper now. The computer based test it was issued for was held on 06.07.2026. Most people landing here are looking for the result instead, so here is the honest position: it is not out on 10.09.2026, and NCL has published nothing on this selection process since 11.07.2026.

What the 577 posts are made of
Every site reporting this recruitment quotes 577 posts. The notification never prints that number. It prints three separate table totals, and 577 is their sum: 472 plus 75 plus 30. The designation split inside the 472 is the part a HEMM candidate needs, because the merit list is drawn post by post.
| Post | Vacancies including backlog |
|---|---|
| Dumper Operator (Trainee) | 308 |
| Dozer Operator (Trainee) | 52 |
| Surface Miner Operator (Trainee) | 43 |
| Grader Operator (Trainee) | 34 |
| Pay Loader Operator (Trainee) | 18 |
| Crane Operator (Trainee) | 17 |
| HEMM Operator, Table A total | 472, of which 90 are earmarked for ex servicemen |
| Paramedical Staff, Table B total | 75, the largest being 47 Staff Nurse (Trainee) |
| Overseer Civil, Table C total | 30 |
Qualifying marks and exam pattern
Two numbers decide whether a candidate reaches the merit panel at all, and both are printed in the notification rather than left to the result.
| Exam rule | As printed in the notification |
|---|---|
| Qualifying marks, unreserved and EWS | 50 out of 100 |
| Qualifying marks, SC, ST, OBC-NCL, PwBD and ex servicemen | 40 out of 100 |
| Paper length and duration | 100 marks, 90 minutes, single sitting |
| Negative marking | None. One mark per question, nothing deducted for a wrong answer, nothing for a blank |
| Paper for the six HEMM posts | One common paper, bilingual in Hindi and English |
| Tie break order | Higher matriculation percentage first, then the older candidate, then alphabetical order of name |
| Document verification | Only for candidates at or above their category cut off, checked after the result |
Eligibility as it was printed
These rules matter after the result too, because verification happens against them and a candidate who cleared the cut off can still be dropped here.
| Eligibility rule | As printed in the notification |
|---|---|
| Age band and the date it is measured on | 18 to 30 years as on the cut off date of 01.05.2026 |
| Age relaxation by category | SC and ST 5 years, OBC-NCL 3, PwBD unreserved 10, PwBD OBC 13, PwBD SC and ST 15 |
| Ex servicemen relaxation | Actual defence service plus 3 years, with total age not crossing 50 |
| Matriculation marks for HEMM posts | 55 percent general and EWS, 50 percent OBC-NCL, 45 percent SC and ST |
| Serving Coal India employees | No upper age limit |
Using the candidate login
There is nothing new to fetch today, but this is the route the result and the merit panel will appear through, and it is worth confirming the credentials still work before the result day rush.
- Open the candidate login listed in the Important Links table above.
- Sign in with the registration number issued on the online application form and your date of birth.
- Check the notice strip inside the login for a result or merit panel link. On 10.09.2026 it carried nothing newer than July.
- If the registration number is lost, recover it from the confirmation email or SMS sent when the form was submitted, since NCL sends CBT information to that same address.
- Keep the downloaded admit card. It carries the roll number the result list will be published against.
Every figure above was read off the employment notification, and the status rows were checked on the company website on 10.09.2026. Where NCL has said nothing, this page says so instead of guessing a date.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the NCL HEMM Operator result declared yet?
No. The computer based test was held on 06.07.2026 and NCL had published nothing further after the 11.07.2026 objection notice when the site was checked on 10.09.2026. The notification only promises the result as early as possible after the CBT and gives no date.
How many marks are needed to qualify in the NCL CBT?
50 out of 100 for unreserved and EWS candidates, and 40 out of 100 for SC, ST, OBC-NCL, PwBD and ex servicemen. Only candidates at or above their category figure go forward to document verification.
Is there negative marking in the NCL HEMM Operator exam?
No. Each question carries one mark, nothing is deducted for a wrong answer and nothing is given for an unattempted one. The paper is 100 marks in 90 minutes, bilingual in Hindi and English.
How are the 577 posts divided?
472 HEMM Operator (Trainee) posts, 75 Paramedical Staff and 30 Overseer (Civil). Inside the 472, Dumper Operator alone takes 308, then Dozer 52, Surface Miner 43, Grader 34, Pay Loader 18 and Crane 17.
Where will NCL publish the result and merit panel?
On the company website under Careers and Recruitment, and through the same candidate login used for the admit card. That Recruitment page loaded its heading but listed no notices when it was checked on 10.09.2026.
