The RRB ALP 2026 Cut Off marks will be declared stage-by-stage after each exam. The official 2026 cut-off is not yet available since the exam dates have not been announced. This analysis is based on the 2018 RRB ALP recruitment (the most recent large-scale ALP exam) and expected competition in 2026. Official cut-off marks will be added here after each result. Last updated: 16.05.2026.
CBT-1 Minimum Qualifying Marks (Non-negotiable)
Regardless of zone-wise cut-off, every candidate must meet these minimum marks to be considered for shortlisting:
| Category | Minimum % Required | Minimum Marks (out of 75) |
|---|---|---|
| General / EWS | 40% | 30 marks |
| OBC (NCL) | 30% | 22.5 marks |
| SC | 30% | 22.5 marks |
| ST | 25% | 18.75 marks |
Meeting these minimums does not guarantee shortlisting — the actual cut-off is higher based on zone-wise competition and vacancy count.
Expected CBT-1 Cut Off 2026 (Zone-wise estimates)
| Category | Expected Range (out of 75) | Basis |
|---|---|---|
| General / EWS | 42 – 55 marks | 2018 data + projected competition increase |
| OBC (NCL) | 36 – 48 marks | 2018 data |
| SC | 30 – 42 marks | 2018 data |
| ST | 25 – 36 marks | 2018 data |
North Indian zones (Allahabad, Bhopal, Mumbai) historically have higher cut-offs than North-East and southern zones. Aim for 50+ in CBT-1 to be safe across all zones as a General candidate.
CBT-2 Part A — Shortlisting Cut Off for CBAT
After CBT-2, 25 times the number of vacancies are shortlisted for CBAT based on Part A merit. The cut-off varies by zone and vacancy count.
| Category | Expected Cut Off — CBT-2 Part A (out of 100) |
|---|---|
| General / EWS | 55 – 70 marks |
| OBC (NCL) | 48 – 62 marks |
| SC | 42 – 55 marks |
| ST | 35 – 48 marks |
CBT-2 Part B — Qualifying Marks
| Category | Minimum % Required | Minimum Marks (out of 75) |
|---|---|---|
| All categories | 35% | 26.25 marks |
Part B marks do not count in the final merit. Scoring more than 35% here gives no additional advantage in final selection.
Factors That Will Drive the 2026 Cut Off
| Factor | Expected Impact on 2026 Cut Off |
|---|---|
| 11,127 vacancies — significantly more than 2018 | Lower cut-off compared to 2018 for some zones |
| Higher youth unemployment = more applicants | Increased competition may push cut-off up in popular zones |
| Paper difficulty in CBT-1 | Tougher paper = lower cut-off; easier paper = higher cut-off |
| Normalisation across shifts | Actual marks may differ from raw score if exam is multi-shift |
Safe Score to Target
- CBT-1 (General/EWS): Target 55+ out of 75 — this keeps you safe across all zones
- CBT-2 Part A (General/EWS): Target 65+ out of 100 for CBAT shortlisting in most zones
- CBT-2 Part B: Target 40+ out of 75 — clear the 35% threshold with a buffer
- CBAT: Aim for 48+ out of 60 — this is 50% of final merit, don’t underestimate it
