Unit 1: Teaching Aptitude

  • Teaching: concept, objectives, levels (memory, understanding, reflective)
  • Characteristics of good teaching, methods and aids
  • Teacher’s roles and responsibilities in higher education

Unit 2: Research Aptitude

  • Research: meaning, types (fundamental, applied, action)
  • Steps of research, research methods
  • Thesis writing, research ethics, plagiarism

Unit 3: Reading Comprehension

  • Passage-based questions — inference, vocabulary, main idea

Unit 4: Communication

  • Communication: nature, barriers, effective communication
  • Classroom communication, mass communication

Unit 5: Mathematical Reasoning & Aptitude

  • Number series, letter series, codes
  • Relationships, classification, logical diagrams

Unit 6: Logical Reasoning

  • Venn diagrams, syllogism, argument evaluation
  • Indian Logic: Anumana, Vyapti, Hetvabhasa

Unit 7: Data Interpretation

  • Tables, bar charts, pie charts, line graphs — questions on percentage, average, ratio

Unit 8: Information & Communication Technology (ICT)

  • Computer basics, internet, e-learning, digital tools
  • Abbreviations in ICT, cybersecurity basics

Unit 9: People & Environment

  • Environmental pollution, climate change
  • Natural hazards, biodiversity

Unit 10: Higher Education System

  • Indian higher education institutions, UGC, NAAC, NEP 2020
  • Governance, Acts and policies in higher education
