Eligibility criteria
Educational qualification: Bachelor’s degree in any stream from a recognised university. For Junior Statistical Officer, you need Statistics as a subject in your degree OR 60% in Maths at class 12 level. For Statistical Investigator Grade II, Statistics must be a subject in the degree.
Age limit (as on 01.08.2026):
- 18 to 27 years – Group C posts (Auditor, Accountant, Postal Assistant, Tax Assistant, UDC)
- 18 to 30 years – most Group B posts (ASO, Inspectors, AEO, SI CBI/NIA)
- 20 to 30 years – ASO in CSS, Railways, MEA, AFHQ and SI CBI
- 18 to 32 years – Junior Statistical Officer
Age relaxation: OBC 3 years, SC/ST 5 years, PwBD 10 years, Ex-Servicemen as per rules.
