The SSC CGL 2026 result for Tier 1 has not been declared yet. The exam is scheduled for August to September 2026. Applications remain open until 22 June 2026. What happens after the result

SSC shortlists 15 to 25 times the vacancy count from Tier 1 for Tier 2, depending on the post. Those candidates then appear in Tier 2 (Paper I mandatory; Paper II for JSO; Paper III for Statistical Investigator). Your final merit rank comes from Tier 2 marks only. After Tier 2 results, SSC calls candidates for Document Verification and then posts are allocated based on merit and preference.
