State Bank of India (SBI) released the SBI PO 2026 notification on June 18, 2026, for 1,500 Probationary Officer posts. Applications are open from June 18 to July 8, 2026. The Phase 1 (Prelims) exam is expected in August 2026, followed by Phase 2 (Mains) in September. This is a flagship SBI recruitment for graduate candidates across India.

Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognised university. Candidates in the final year/semester can apply provisionally, subject to passing before the eligibility date.

Age Limit: 21 to 30 years as of April 1, 2026. Age relaxation: SC/ST 5 years, OBC 3 years, PwBD 10 years.

Selection Process

1. Phase 1 – Preliminary Exam: 100 questions, 1 hour. Three sections: English Language (30Q), Quantitative Aptitude (35Q), Reasoning Ability (35Q). Qualifying in nature.
2. Phase 2 – Main Exam: Objective + Descriptive. Objective: 4 sections (Data Analysis, Reasoning, English, General/Economy). Descriptive: Letter and Essay writing.

4. Final merit based on Mains + GD/Interview combined score
