IAF Agniveervayu 02/2027 – Apply by 26 July 🟢 Active

Indian Air Force has opened Agniveervayu Intake 02/2027 registration. Applications run from 6 July to 26 July 2026, and the online exam (Phase 1) is scheduled for 22-23 September 2026. Unmarried men and women born between 1 July 2005 and 1 January 2010 can apply. Fee is ₹550 for everyone. Last updated: 09.07.2026.

This is the Agnipath-scheme entry for airmen-level roles: four years of service, a Seva Nidhi exit package of around ₹10.04 lakh, and up to 25 percent retention into the regular IAF cadre based on performance and vacancies. Intake 02/2027 means the selected batch joins training in 2027’s second cycle.

Eligibility

• Age: born between 01.07.2005 and 01.01.2010 (roughly 17.5 to 21 years at intake). Unmarried candidates only, and candidates must remain unmarried through the four-year engagement.
• Science stream: 10+2 with Maths, Physics and English at 50 percent aggregate and 50 percent in English; or a 3-year engineering diploma (50 percent) with English; or a 2-year vocational course with Physics and Maths at 50 percent.
• Other than science: 10+2 in any stream with 50 percent aggregate and 50 percent in English; or an equivalent 2-year vocational course.
• Physical: minimum height 152.5 cm, chest expansion 5 cm, and IAF medical standards.

Selection process

Three stages. Phase 1 is the online CBT: science-stream candidates get English, Physics and Maths (CBSE 10+2 level); other-stream candidates get English plus RAGA (Reasoning and General Awareness); candidates eligible for both write the combined paper. Phase 2 is the physical fitness test (1.6 km run, push-ups, sit-ups, squats) plus adaptability tests at the exam centre. Medical examination follows, and the final merit list (CASB publishes it as the enrolment list) combines exam performance per the notification.

How to apply

1. Register on the official portal: agnipathvayu.cdac.in.
2. Fill the form with your Class 10 and 12 details; the roll-number fields must match board records exactly since CASB verifies digitally.
3. Choose exam city preferences, upload photo, signature and thumb impression, pay ₹550 and submit.
4. Download the confirmation. Admit cards come on the same portal about two weeks before the exam.

Preparation pointers

The CBT is speed-focused: 45 to 85 minutes depending on your paper group, with negative marking of 0.25 per wrong answer. NCERT Class 11-12 Physics and Maths cover the science paper almost entirely, and the English section is grammar-heavy. Practice with the official model papers on the CASB portal first; they mirror the real difficulty better than most coaching mocks.
