Unmarried girls turning 18 on or after 1 April 2012: ₹1,00,000 is placed in a bank Fixed Deposit, jointly held by the Director of DoWCD and the applicant. The FD auto-renews annually with interest and stays that way until you claim it or turn 45, whichever comes first.
