Do not mix up the routes. Regular students usually cannot download the school-issued admit card directly in the same way private candidates can. Schools download and distribute the admit cards after completing board formalities. For regular candidates, the school stamp and authorised signature matter. If the admit card is collected from school, check that it is properly signed before leaving. Private candidates should print the admit card clearly and keep the same details handy for result checking later. How private candidates can download hall ticket

1. Open the CBSE private candidate admit card page.
2. Select the search method shown on the portal.
3. Enter application number, previous roll number details or candidate name.
4. Submit the form and check the hall ticket details.
5. Download the admit card and print at least two copies before 28.07.2026.

Details to check on CBSE admit card

Check the student name, roll number, subject, exam centre, date, reporting time, school number and centre code. If a regular student finds any mismatch, the school should be contacted immediately. Private candidates should check the details on the official portal and use CBSE help channels if the record does not match.

Students should carry the printed admit card and a valid ID as applicable. Regular students should also follow their school instructions. For private candidates, a government photo ID is safer to carry along with the admit card. Reach the centre early because entry rules are strict in board examinations.
