JRF Cut Off vs Assistant Professor Cut Off
There are two different cut offs in UGC NET:
- Assistant Professor cut off: Fixed percentage (40% for General, 35% for reserved) — relatively easy to clear
- JRF cut off: Top 6% of qualified candidates in each subject — varies by subject and competition level. Popular subjects like Economics, Commerce, Education have higher JRF cut offs
