Who can apply for Rajasthan SET 2026?

General, unreserved and General-EWS candidates need at least 55% marks in a Master’s degree or an equivalent qualification recognised by the UGC. OBC-NCL, SC, ST, PwD and third-gender candidates need at least 50%. Final-year postgraduate candidates and applicants awaiting their Master’s result may apply provisionally, but they must complete the qualification with the required marks within two years of the SET result.

Candidates must select the subject of their post-graduation. If their postgraduate subject is not offered in Rajasthan SET, the official notification advises them to consider UGC NET or the relevant CSIR-UGC NET examination. There is no upper age limit. The certificate remains valid for life, but its eligibility is limited to Assistant Professor recruitment within Rajasthan.
