Delhi Cantonment Board AE JE Recruitment 2026 is open for nine engineering posts under Advertisement 01/2026. The online form started on 15 July and closes at 11:59 PM on 14 August 2026. Civil, Mechanical and Electrical engineering candidates can apply for Assistant Engineer or Junior Engineer posts, subject to the qualification listed for each position. Selection will be through a computer-based test; there is no interview or skill test.

Post-wise vacancy, qualification and salary

The qualification must be complete by the closing date. Candidates should compare the discipline written on their degree or diploma with the exact post requirement before registering. Appointed candidates will be employees of Delhi Cantonment Board, not Central Government employees. The initial probation is two years, followed by permanent appointment if performance and conduct are found suitable.

Age limit and relaxation

The normal age range is 21 to 30 years on 14.08.2026. SC and ST candidates receive five years of relaxation, while OBC candidates receive three years. The relaxation is 10 years for PwBD General/EWS, 13 years for PwBD OBC and 15 years for PwBD SC/ST. Ex-servicemen receive relaxation under the stated rules. The 06.07.2026 addendum clarifies that the maximum age after applicable relaxation cannot exceed 56 years. Category benefits require a valid certificate in the prescribed format.

Application fee

The fee is Rs 850 per candidate per post and is paid online. Women, SC/ST, PwBD, ex-servicemen, transgender candidates, eligible departmental candidates, and widows, divorced women or judicially separated women who have not remarried are exempt under the notification. A candidate applying for more than one post must submit a separate application and fee wherever applicable.

CBT exam pattern

Every question carries one mark. A wrong answer attracts a deduction of 0.33 mark. The paper is bilingual except for the English comprehension portion. Since the technical section carries two-thirds of the questions, candidates should give most of their preparation time to the engineering discipline selected in the form.
