CRPF Tradesman 2026 physical date is still not announced. Checked again on 12.09.2026, the CRPF notice board still carries nothing newer for this recruitment than the application correction window of 21.05.2026 to 23.05.2026, now four months old. No PET or PST timetable, no city or centre notice, and no admit card link has appeared since.
What follows is read off the 47-page advertisement notice of 08.04.2026, including the full trade-wise vacancy table that most pages summarise into four rows.
Physical date status, checked 12.09.2026
The notification never fixed a PET or PST date. It commits CRPF to publishing the timetable and the city and centre list on its own website, and to opening admit card download at least one week before each stage. Any date circulating elsewhere has no official source behind it.
| Physical test date | No. Nothing announced as on 12.09.2026. |
| Latest official item for this recruitment | Correction window notice, 21.05.2026 to 23.05.2026 |
| Newest items on the board | SI (Hindi Translator) 2025 admit card and CAPF Assistant Commandant LDCE results. Both belong to other recruitments. |
| Application portal status | The portal is back up. It returned a 502 error on 05.09.2026 and loaded normally on 12.09.2026, but its Current Recruitment Openings list is empty and only Candidate Login is available, so it confirms nothing about a physical date. |
| Notice period given | Admit card download opens at least one week before the stage, so the admit card will confirm the date rather than follow it. |
| Where the real date appears first | On the CRPF notice board as a timetable or city and centre notice. |
| A date to ignore | A CRPF notice listing physical tests from 10.07.2024 belongs to the earlier cycle, not to this one. |

Physical kab hoga, running kab hogi, admit card kab aayega
These are the three most searched forms of the same question, and they share one answer. Koi official date abhi tak announce nahi hui hai. All three follow a single announcement, so none of them can arrive before the timetable does.
| Physical kab hoga | No PET or PST date has been announced for this recruitment. |
| Running kab hogi | The race is part of PET, so it is held on the same day as the physical. There is no separate running date. |
| Admit card kab aayega | At least one week before the stage. The admit card is what will confirm the date. |
| Paper kab hoga | The CBT comes after PET and PST, for candidates who qualify. Its date is unannounced too. |
| Physical date PDF | No. The last PDF issued for this recruitment is the correction window notice of 21.05.2026. |
| Treating an expected date | Treat it as a guess. Preparing for the PET standards below is the only thing that is actually in a candidate’s hands right now. |
PET race, PST standards and who gets relaxation
PET is qualifying only, and it is run after biometric capture. A candidate who fails the race gets a rejection slip on the spot, and the notice records that there is no appeal against the PET race. The race itself depends on the trade, which is the part most summaries leave out.
| Driver, MMV, Mali, Painter, Carpenter, Brass Band, Pipe Band, Cobbler, Tailor, Bugler | Men 5 km in 24 minutes. Women 1.6 km in 8 minutes 30 seconds. |
| Cook, Water Carrier, Barber or Hair Dresser, Washerman, Safai Karamchari | Men 1.6 km in 10 minutes. Women 1.6 km in 12 minutes. |
| Pioneer Mason and Electrician | Men 1.6 km in 9 minutes. The notice shows no female entry for these posts. |
| Height needed at PST | Men 170 cm, women 157 cm |
| Chest needed at PST | Men 80 cm unexpanded with 5 cm expansion. Chest is not measured for women. |
| Height relaxation for ST candidates | Men 162.5 cm, women 150 cm, chest 76 cm with 5 cm expansion |
| Height relaxation for North Eastern ST candidates | Men 157 cm, women 147.5 cm |
| Height relaxation for Garhwali, Kumaoni, Dogra, Maratha and Assam, Himachal, J&K, Ladakh candidates | Men 165 cm, women 155 cm, chest 78 cm with 5 cm expansion |
| Challenge to a measurement | Yes, height and chest can be appealed the same day through the appellate authority at the centre. The relaxation certificate has to be carried to PST or the relaxation is refused there. |
CBT pattern, qualifying marks and what decides selection
Only candidates who clear PET and PST reach the CBT. It is a matriculation level objective paper in English and Hindi.
| Total questions and marks | 100 questions, 100 marks, 25 each from General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Knowledge and Awareness, Elementary Mathematics, and English or Hindi |
| Time allowed | 2 hours |
| Negative marking | 0.25 marks deducted for each wrong answer |
| Qualifying percentage, UR | 30 per cent for Technical and Tradesmen |
| Qualifying percentage, EWS and OBC | 25 per cent |
| Qualifying percentage, other categories | 20 per cent |
| What decides final selection | CBT marks alone, provided the candidate has cleared PET, PST, the trade test, document verification and the medical. |
| Documents to carry at each stage | Two colour printouts of the admit card, two passport photographs, and an original photo ID showing the date of birth printed on the admit card. If the ID does not show date of birth, a separate original DOB certificate is needed. |
A note on cut off marks, because the figures circulating for this recruitment are not real. CRPF publishes no separate minimum qualifying mark beyond the percentages above, and the shortlist is drawn on merit within each trade and category combination. That means the same score can qualify in one trade and fail in another. Any category-wise cut off table for this recruitment claiming numbers out of 100 has no CRPF document behind it, and this page carried such a table until 05.09.2026, when it was removed.
The 9,195 posts, trade by trade
The total splits into two recruitments that follow different rules, and the trade-wise table below adds to the official figure exactly.
| Driver | 3,176 |
| Cook | 1,426 |
| Bugler | 1,263 |
| Motor Mechanic Vehicle | 739 |
| Safai Karamchari | 547 |
| Water Carrier | 502 |
| Washerman | 363 |
| Barber | 231 |
| Tailor | 195 |
| Brass Band | 157 |
| Mali | 141 |
| Carpenter | 123 |
| Cobbler | 118 |
| Painter | 83 |
| Pipe Band | 32 |
| Male total across 15 trades | 9,096, which is the figure the notice prints |
| Female posts | 79, across 8 trades only: brass band, bugler, hair dresser, mali, pipe band, painter, tailor and water carrier |
| Pioneer posts | 20 on an all India basis, being 13 Mason and 7 Electrician, with their own merit list |
| Grand total | 9,096 plus 79 plus 20, which is the 9,195 being quoted everywhere |
Two things fall out of that table. The Bugler figure is 1,263, not the 1,274 that circulates, and this page carried the wrong number until 05.09.2026. And 79 posts out of 9,195 is 0.86 per cent for women, in roughly half as many trades as men, on a notice whose cover page states that the government strives for a workforce reflecting gender balance.
Who could apply, age, fee and the domicile rule
| Age limit for Constable Driver | 21 to 27 years as on 01.01.2026 |
| Age limit for every other trade | 18 to 23 years as on 01.01.2026 |
| Age relaxation | SC and ST 5 years, OBC 3 years, ex-servicemen 3 years after deducting service rendered |
| Minimum qualification | Matriculation or equivalent, plus the certificate or experience the trade demands |
| Application fee | Rs 100 for each post applied for, not per candidate. SC, ST, ex-servicemen and women of all categories paid nothing. |
| Pay on selection | Pay Level-3, Rs 21,700 to Rs 69,100 |
| Posts reserved for ex-servicemen | 10 per cent, and unfilled ones go to non ex-servicemen of the same category |
| The domicile rule that cancels candidatures | Technical and Tradesmen posts are state and UT based. A domicile certificate from a state other than the one on the form means the candidature is cancelled at document verification, with no change of state allowed. Only the 20 Pioneer posts are all India. |
