Projects covered by the recruitment
The WII 20 project posts are spread across sea turtle monitoring in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, movement ecology of the Nicobar Megapode, the World Natural Heritage training centre, environmental-flow assessment for the Chambal and Tons rivers, and an assessment of underwater-tunnel construction effects on aquatic life in the Brahmaputra. Field duties may involve remote islands, river surveys, sample collection, GIS work, community interaction or research-station management. Qualification and eligibility
Eligibility changes with the post. Administrative Assistant and Field Worker positions accept a graduate degree in any discipline. Project Assistant posts require a bachelor’s degree in science or a relevant social-science subject for the specified project. Project Associate roles accept prescribed four-year science degrees, relevant master’s degrees, veterinary science or selected engineering and technology qualifications. The Senior Project Associate post requires the listed advanced qualification plus experience, or a relevant doctoral degree.
