RRB Technician CEN 02/2026 Documents Required

RRB Technician CEN 02/2026 document verification (DV) happens after the CBT, at a 1:1 ratio to vacancies. Your details need to match every certificate exactly — mismatches are one of the most common rejection reasons at this stage. Last updated: 12.07.2026.

Documents required at DV

• 10th/Matriculation certificate — proves date of birth and basic qualification
• ITI certificate (NCVT/SCVT) in the exact trade you applied under, for Grade III posts
• Degree or Diploma marksheets and certificate, for Technician Grade I Signal
• Caste certificate (SC/ST/OBC-NCL, central government format) if you claimed reservation
• EWS income and asset certificate, if applicable
• EBC certificate, BPL card, or Izzat MST — required if you paid the concessional Rs. 250 fee under Economically Backward Class, and it must carry a date on or before 29.07.2026
• PwBD disability certificate, if applicable
• Discharge certificate and service record, for Ex-Servicemen candidates
• NOC from your current employer, if you already hold a government job
• A valid photo ID — Aadhaar, PAN, passport or voter ID
• The application confirmation page generated after you submitted the form

Where candidates usually go wrong

Two mistakes account for most DV rejections in RRB recruitments generally: claiming a trade in the application that the ITI certificate doesn’t actually list, and category certificates issued in a format the RRB doesn’t accept — caste certificates must follow the central government format, not a state-only format, unless the state format explicitly covers central government purposes. EBC candidates should double check their certificate date falls before the application closing date; anything issued after 29.07.2026 will not be accepted, no exceptions.

Diploma-for-ITI substitution

The notification is explicit on this point: a Diploma or Degree in Engineering does not substitute for a Course Completed Act Apprenticeship or ITI certificate for Grade III posts unless the specific post parameters say otherwise. If your only qualification is a Diploma and you applied for a Grade III trade that requires ITI, check Annexure A of the notification carefully before DV — this is a common gap that surfaces only at verification, when it’s too late to fix.
