The thing to get right before you start: there is no single state notification to download. The School Education Department’s own instructions to candidates say each district and division issues its own notification, and your eligibility, age limit and fee are set there, not centrally. Why there is no single notification to download
The figure of 15,000 posts circulating across job sites is a total that nobody official has published in one place. The department’s instruction document names the cadres and the dates, and states plainly that the district and divisional authorities issue the notifications carrying eligibility, age, fee and reservation.

This is the clause candidates get wrong, and it cannot be undone once the form is submitted. You may apply for several cadres, but for any one post in a cadre you pick a single district only.

How to apply online and documents required
- Read your district’s or division’s notification first, for the qualification, age limit, fee and reservation that apply to you.
- Register once on the department portal with a mobile number and email that are your own, and create a user ID and password.
- Fill personal details, reservation, academic and professional marks, and the cadres and posts you are applying for.
- Enter maximum and obtained marks for every year exactly as the marksheet shows. If your university awards grades, upload its grade-to-marks conversion table.
- Upload a passport photograph and signature, each scanned to no more than 50 KB.
- Pay online by net banking, credit or debit card, or download the challan and pay at State Bank of India.
- Print the submitted application and keep it. If you lose it, log back in and download it again.
Mistakes that cost a whole fresh application
