Rajasthan Anganwadi Bharti 2026 is running district by district under the Women and Child Development (WCD) Department, and more than fifteen districts currently have open application windows with last dates spread from mid-July to early August 2026. Positions are Anganwadi Worker (karyakarta), Mini Worker and Helper (sahayika), applications are offline and completely free, and each district publishes its own notification on the WCD Rajasthan portal. One structural difference from most recruitments: there is no common state-level form. Your application goes to the CDPO (Child Development Project Officer) office of the project area where the vacancy exists, and merit is decided locally. So the only district that matters to you is your own.

Districts with windows open right now

Windows for Sri Ganganagar, Churu, Hanumangarh, Dausa, Karauli, Sirohi, Chittorgarh and Udaipur closed between 30 June and 9 July. Dates come from each district’s own notification, so verify your district’s exact date on its notification PDF before travelling to submit the form.

Who can apply

• Married women who are local residents of the ward or village where the Anganwadi centre falls. This local-residence rule is applied strictly; the centre serves its own neighbourhood.
• Education: 10th pass minimum for Helper (sahayika) posts, 12th pass for Worker and Mini Worker posts, as per the district notification.
• Age 21 to 40 years for general category, up to 45 with relaxation for reserved categories.

Application fee

None. Every district’s process is free for all categories.

How selection works

No written exam. The CDPO office builds a merit list from academic marks, with additional weightage rules (higher qualification, widow/divorced status, and other criteria) defined in the district notification. Document verification follows the provisional list, and objections are heard at the project office before the final list. Since merit is local, competition is limited to applicants from the same centre area, which keeps realistic chances alive for candidates with ordinary marks.

How to apply (offline)

1. Download your district’s notification and application form from the WCD Rajasthan portal at wcd.rajasthan.gov.in (notification PDFs are hosted on the state’s Jan Kalyan file portal).
2. Fill the form by hand and attach self-attested copies: marksheets, Aadhaar, marriage proof, local residence proof (ration card/voter ID of the ward), caste certificate if applicable, and passport photos.
3. Submit at the CDPO office of your project area (or the collection point named in the district notice) before your district’s last date. Take an acknowledgement receipt.
4. Watch the project office notice board or the district WCD page for the provisional merit list.

Honorarium

Anganwadi engagements are honorarium-based, not regular government posts: workers receive the state-notified monthly honorarium (higher for workers, lower for mini workers and helpers), revised by the state from time to time. The role is long-tenure in practice, and departmental promotion channels (helper to worker, worker to supervisor quota) exist within ICDS.
