Language Medium Options
UPTET 2026 offers exams in multiple languages: Hindi, English, Urdu, and Sanskrit. Candidates select their preferred medium during application. This ensures accessibility across Uttar Pradesh’s linguistically diverse regions.
Preparation Strategy
Both papers place equal emphasis (20% each) on Child Development, and the two Language sections. For Paper 2, the combined Mathematics/Science or Social Science section carries double weightage (40%), so subject selection should align with your strength. Child Development questions require understanding of pedagogical concepts rather than mere memorization. Language sections test both language competency and teaching methodology. Practice previous year papers extensively to familiarize yourself with question patterns, time management, and difficulty levels.

Note: This page still described the exam as upcoming and the admit card as the last thing that had happened. The exam was written in July, the result came on 26.08.2026 and candidates have been downloading certificates since 07.09.2026. The newest step is the one most worth knowing: since 25.09.2026 the Commission is accepting corrections to errors printed on a TET certificate and will issue a fresh one, which is a window a candidate can miss entirely if they downloaded the certificate in early September and never looked again.

Note: The Commission spreads this exam across three different domains, which is why a candidate can find the result and still not find the certificate. The result sits on upessc.net, the certificate on certificates.upessc.org and the notices on upessc.up.gov.in, and all three are linked above. The registration link was marked as not opening when this table was last checked on 25.09.2026, and that is expected now, because the application window for this cycle closed in May.

Eligibility for primary and junior
Primary Level (Class 1 to 5): Bachelor Degree in any stream + D.El.Ed (final year) or B.Ed or B.El.Ed or equivalent as per NCTE norms.
Junior Level (Class 6 to 8): Bachelor/Master Degree with 50% marks + B.Ed / BTC / B.Sc.Ed or equivalent.
Languages: Hindi, English, Urdu, Sanskrit.
Exam city slip against the admit card
A lot of candidates mix up the city intimation slip with the actual admit card, but the two are not the same thing. The city slip only tells you which city, district and shift you have been allotted. It does not carry your exam centre address, roll number or reporting time. Those details show up only on the UPTET Admit Card, which UPESSC is releasing separately on 30 June 2026. Treat this slip as an advance heads-up for planning your travel and stay, not as the document you carry into the exam hall.
