Frequently Asked Questions
How many candidates qualified in the CDS 2 result 2026?
8,956 candidates qualified for the SSB interview. Candidates can be on more than one academy list, so the lists carry 13,133 entries in all.
Does qualifying in the written test mean I am selected?
No. It only gives you the right to appear before the Service Selection Board. The final merit list is made after the SSB, and only for the seats of each academy.
When will the CDS 2 marks be available?
UPSC will put the marks on upsconline.nic.in within 15 days of the final result of the OTA course, and they stay there for 30 days.
Do I need to register for the SSB?
Candidates whose first choice is the Army must register on joinindianarmy.nic.in, unless they are already registered. Navy and Air Force first choice candidates follow their own recruitment sites.
Where do I send my original certificates?
Not to UPSC. The press note names the Service Headquarters for each academy, and the originals must reach them by 01.07.2027 for IMA and INA, 13.05.2027 for the Air Force Academy and 01.10.2027 for the SSC course.
