RUHS Medical Officer 2026 applications are open for 600 posts of Medical Officer (Medical) in the Rajasthan Medical, Health and Family Welfare Department. Rajasthan University of Health Sciences (RUHS), Jaipur runs the exam under notification 1173 dated 13.08.2026. Registration opened on 14.09.2026 and closes on 13.10.2026, and the exam is set for 13.12.2026.
The application portal’s own schedule ends registration at 3.50 pm IST on 13.10.2026, not midnight. MBBS is required, and your Rajasthan Medical Council registration must be in place by the date of the written exam.

Note: The closing time and fee come from the exam record on the RUHS application portal, read on 05.10.2026. The notification only says the form is available until 13.10.2026, so do not leave it for that night. OBC, MBC and EWS candidates get no fee concession here, only SC and ST do.

Note: The notification’s table lost its alignment in the PDF, so we rebuilt it and checked that every row adds up to its category total and the columns add up to 600. Women’s posts (121 women, 47 widow and 9 divorcee) come to 177, about 30%. Specially abled candidates get 37 posts (24 new and 13 backlog). Ex-servicemen get 106 posts, of which 79 are backlog and only 27 are new.

Note: All relaxations apply only to Rajasthan domicile. Candidates from other states pay the full fee and get none. The relaxation rules are read from the portal’s eligibility check on 05.10.2026, because the information booklet was not available. RUHS’s previous round, MO 2024, was for 1,700 posts. This round’s 600 is a little over a third of that, so there are far fewer seats to go round than last time.
