What CET Graduate Level Qualifies You For

CET isn’t tied to one specific job. It’s a common screening test whose score is used across multiple subordinate and clerical-grade Rajasthan government posts. Based on RSSB’s own postings, candidates who clear this CET become eligible to apply for recruitments such as Patwari, Platoon Commander, Assistant Accountant, Tehsil Rajasva Accountant, Supervisor (Women Empowerment), Deputy Jailor, Hostel Superintendent Grade II, and Gram Vikas Adhikari (Village Development Officer) / Junior Accountant, among others announced separately for each post. Since RSSB adds specific posts to this list as separate recruitment notifications come out, candidates should keep checking RSSB’s official site for which vacancies are currently accepting CET-qualified applicants.

The paper is a single combined test rather than separate sections with individual timers, covering general knowledge, reasoning, and language together.

Syllabus – Subject-Wise Topics

History: the freedom struggle, the revolt of 1857, tribal movements, Praja Mandal movement, integration of Rajasthan into the Indian union, and Rajasthan’s art, culture, literature, architecture, paintings, and handicrafts.

Geography: physical features, climate and monsoon patterns, rivers, dams, lakes, wildlife, crops, minerals, energy resources, industries, transport, population, disaster management, soil types, tribes, and tourism, covering both India and Rajasthan specifically.

Polity: the President, Prime Minister, Parliament, Supreme Court, Election Commission, CAG, and NITI Aayog at the national level; the Governor, Chief Minister, High Court, RPSC, and Panchayati Raj institutions at the state level.

Economy: the union budget, banking system, GST, national income, fiscal and monetary policy, the public distribution system, agriculture and industry, the Five Year Plans, poverty and unemployment, welfare schemes, and MGNREGA.

Science and Technology: physical and chemical changes, acids and bases, electricity, nutrition, blood groups, common diseases, environment and biodiversity, agricultural science, artificial intelligence, and defence and space technology.

Reasoning and Mathematics: blood relations, number and alphabet series, clock and calendar problems, LCM and HCF, averages, profit and loss, percentage, simple and compound interest, ratio, time-speed-distance, mensuration, trigonometry, and mean, median, and mode.

Computer: basic computer knowledge, operating systems, the internet, email, RAM and ROM, MS Office, cyber security, and artificial intelligence basics.

English: articles, tenses, active and passive voice, narration, prepositions, translation, synonyms and antonyms, comprehension, letter writing, idioms, and one-word substitution.

Hindi: grammar, word formation, vocabulary, punctuation, and official correspondence.

RSSB hasn’t published a fixed number of questions per subject for this exam, and different coaching sources give different splits. Rather than study to a specific question count per topic, it’s more reliable to prepare each subject area listed above proportionately and focus on Rajasthan-specific material, since that shows up heavily across History, Geography, and Polity questions.
