Eligibility criteria
Educational qualification: Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university. For ASO posts, the subject does not matter. Some posts have specific requirements, so check the notification for post-wise details.
Age limit: 18 to 27 years as per notification. Age relaxation: SC/ST 5 years, OBC 3 years, PwBD 10 years, Ex-servicemen as per government rules.
Typing speed: Certain posts require English typing at 35 wpm or Hindi typing at 30 wpm, tested separately after the written exam.

Salary and pay scale
DSSSB ASO falls under Pay Level 6 of the 7th Pay Commission: Rs. 35,400 to 1,12,400 per month. In-hand salary with HRA and other allowances works out to roughly Rs. 45,000 to 55,000 per month, depending on posting location within Delhi.
Selection process
- Tier I (CBT): 200 questions, 200 marks, 2 hours. Five sections: General Awareness, General Intelligence and Reasoning, Arithmetic and Numerical Ability, Hindi Language and Comprehension, English Language and Comprehension. Negative marking: 0.25 marks per wrong answer.
- Skill test / Typing test: Qualifying in nature. Candidates who clear Tier I appear for the typing test.
- Document verification: Final stage before appointment.
