Eligibility is not based only on gender. DTC’s corrigendum uses the combined conditions of being a bonafide resident of Delhi and being a woman or transgender applicant. The modified clause also states 12+ years of age. A counter or bank may still perform identity, mobile and address checks before issuing the selected card type.

Pink Card benefits and where it works

The central benefit is zero-fare travel on DTC and Cluster buses after the card is issued and activated. It should not be described as unlimited free travel on Delhi Metro or every public transport service. The official documents distinguish free DTC/Cluster use from top-up-enabled paid use on other systems.

Zero-KYC and Full-KYC routes are different. Carrying the mobile phone linked to the OTP and Delhi-based Aadhaar is the safest preparation for an authorised issuance point. How to apply from start to Pink Card in hand

Follow the route that the issuing point actually offers. The official Corrigendum-2 changed the earlier process wording: applicants are not restricted to one DTC portal-only registration route. Full-KYC cards can be obtained directly from a bank branch or through a bank’s online video e-KYC provision, while Zero-KYC cards may be obtained from banks, DTC authorised centres and metro stations where the service is enabled.

1. Confirm that you are a woman or transgender applicant, are a bonafide Delhi resident and are at least 12 years old.
2. Choose the route: Zero-KYC for quick counter issuance, or Full-KYC if you want a personalised card and the bank’s wider features.
3. Carry your mobile phone, Delhi-based Aadhaar and the other Full-KYC documents listed above.
4. Visit a currently authorised bank/DTC/PoS location, or open the participating bank’s own online video e-KYC route if it is available.
5. Complete mobile OTP and Aadhaar OTP/pincode verification for Zero-KYC. For Full-KYC, provide the photograph and details requested by the bank.
6. Check your name, photograph, address and card type before accepting the personalised card or acknowledgement.
7. Receive the Zero-KYC card instantly where the counter supports instant handover. For Full-KYC, collect it in person or wait for the bank’s postal dispatch; DTC has not published a universal delivery deadline.
8. Tap the card on the bus ETM for the first time. The official process says activation occurs automatically through OSA on the first tap.
9. Keep the card safe and top up separately if you use Metro, RRTS, another transit system or supported merchant service.

What to do if the card is not issued

Do not pay an unauthorised person or rely on a social-media form. Ask the authorised counter for the exact rejection reason and a receipt/reference number.
