Note: NTA did not wait for the windows to close before paying. About 10,28,223 candidates had confirmed their accounts by 07.07.2026, and the count was 11,46,401 on 14.07.2026. Close to 20 lakh candidates sat the exam, so a large share had not filed details by mid July. Details submitted after the OTP login are treated as final, which is why the portal would not take a second change.
