Progress after registration
The portal’s key indicators, read on 29.09.2026, show how far registered artisans have moved through the scheme. Each share below is our count divided by the 30,00,000 registered.
| Scheme stage | Portal count on 29.09.2026 |
|---|---|
| Basic training completed | 24,39,509 artisans, which is 81.3% of those registered. |
| Modern toolkit received | 18,39,398 artisans, which is 61.3% of those registered. |
| Loan sanctioned | 6,22,284 artisans, about one in five (20.7%). |
| Loan amount sanctioned | ₹5,339 crore, about ₹85,800 per sanctioned artisan on average. |
| Digital incentive paid | 8,11,855 artisans (27.1%), ₹42.63 crore in all, about ₹525 each. |
Note: The average loan of about ₹85,800 sits below the ₹1,00,000 first tranche ceiling. So most sanctions so far look like first tranche loans, not the full ₹3,00,000. The portal does not split sanctions by tranche, so this is our reading of its totals and not an official figure.

Registration runs through a Common Service Centre, not self-service. The portal says the 30 lakh registration target was already reached in September 2025. So call the nearest CSC first and ask whether it is still taking new PM Vishwakarma registrations, and which documents to bring.

- You’re also registered on the Udyam Assist Platform as an MSME entity as part of the same process.
- Once registered, log in yourself at pmvishwakarma.gov.in using your registered mobile number to download your Digital ID and Certificate, and to track your application status going forward.

Don’t confuse this with PM-VBRY
There’s a separate, distinct scheme called PM Vikas Bharat Rozgar Yojana (PM-VBRY) that saw a ₹2,400 crore incentive disbursement around 19 June 2026. This is an employment-incentive scheme for a different purpose entirely, if you’ve seen news about a “June 2026 disbursement” tied to Vishwakarma-sounding language, check whether it’s actually referring to PM-VBRY rather than PM Vishwakarma itself, since the two get conflated in casual coverage.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I register for PM Vishwakarma online myself?
No. Registration for the scheme, launched on 17 September 2023, is completed through a CSC operator with your documents present, not through a self-service form. The portal is for status checks and the certificate.
Do I get the full Rs 3,00,000 loan immediately?
No, it is staged. Tranche 1 gives up to Rs 1,00,000 with 18-month repayment, and Tranche 2 of up to Rs 2,00,000 with 30-month repayment follows only after the first is handled.
Is my trade covered if it is not on the list of 18?
Only the 18 listed traditional trades qualify. This is a central sector scheme of the Ministry of MSME with a Rs 13,000 crore outlay running from FY2023-24 to FY2027-28, and its trade list is closed.
How many artisans have been covered so far?
More than 30 lakh artisans on the most recent confirmed count. That scale is why CSC slots and verification queues, rather than eligibility, are usually what delay an application.
