Qualifying Marks vs. Cutoff Marks
This is an important distinction: Qualifying Marks are the minimum score to pass the exam. All candidates scoring above qualifying marks are eligible to appear for the next phase. Cutoff Marks are the marks at which selection begins, determined after evaluating all candidates. Only candidates above the cutoff are called for interview.
For example, if qualifying marks are 30% and 10,000 candidates qualify, but only 600 are selected based on merit, the cutoff might be around 54-58 marks (much higher than qualifying marks).
Official Cutoff 2026 – A Note
This analysis is based on previous year trends and current exam patterns. The official 2026 cutoff will be announced only after Phase I result declaration. Once RBI publishes the official cutoff, this page will be updated with exact marks.
