The Basic Education Department has opened ECCE Educator recruitment 2026 in Lalitpur: 66 posts for Early Childhood Care and Education educators in the district’s co-located Anganwadi centres. Eligibility

• Graduation with Home Science with at least 50 percent marks; or
• Graduation with NTT / CT (Nursery) / Diploma in Pre-School Education (DPSE) or an equivalent early-childhood qualification.

The role is on outsourcing basis under the district project, not a permanent government post. Honorarium and contract terms are in the district notification, read them before applying so there are no surprises later.

What an ECCE Educator does

ECCE Educators run the pre-primary “Balvatika” learning activities for children aged 3 to 6 at Anganwadi centres attached to primary schools. The work is classroom-based: play-based learning, school readiness activities and coordination with the Anganwadi worker and the primary school head. For candidates with early-childhood training who do not want to wait for the next big teacher recruitment, this is the closest currently-open role in the government school system.
