The SSC CHT 2026 admit card is due any day now. Tier-I of the Combined Hindi Translator Examination 2026 is fixed for 08.09.2026, and the notice of 31.08.2026 says the Admission Certificate opens two or three days before the exam, through the login module. Candidates also search this paper as JHT or Junior Hindi Translator.

If you opted for your own scribe, check this first: a corrigendum on 03.09.2026 moved the Scribe OTR mapping deadline earlier, not later, from 06.09.2026 to 04.09.2026. That window has already closed, and no Scribe Entry Pass is generated without the mapping.

Frequently Asked Questions

When is the SSC CHT 2026 Tier-I exam?

08.09.2026, as fixed by the Commission's notice of 31.08.2026. The Stenographer Grade C and D examination follows it, and its window was widened on the same day from 09 to 12 September to 09 to 15 September 2026.

When will the CHT admit card be released?

The notice says the Admission Certificate will tentatively be available two or three days before the examination date, through the login module on the Commission's website. The exam city can be viewed there already.

I opted for own scribe. Can I still map the OTR?

No. The corrigendum of 03.09.2026 pulled the CHT deadline back from 06.09.2026 to 04.09.2026, two days earlier than first announced. A Scribe Entry Pass is generated only for candidates who mapped the Scribe OTR inside that window.

How many posts is CHT 2026 recruiting for?

303 tentative vacancies as on 09.07.2026. Only six are Senior Translator at Level-7; the other 297 sit at Level-6. The Commission calls the figure tentative and says the final number may differ.

Is there negative marking in CHT Paper-I?

Yes, 0.25 marks for each wrong answer. Paper-I also runs on a sectional timer of one hour for General Hindi and one hour for General English, so unused time in one part cannot be carried into the other.
