Applying for VB-G RAM G work

Applying happens at the Gram Panchayat, not through a national online application form. No website replaces this route, so treat any site that charges a fee to register as untrustworthy.

  1. If the household has no card, apply at the Gram Panchayat with the names, ages and address of household members to get a Gramin Rozgar Guarantee Card.
  2. If an MGNREGA job card with completed e-KYC is already held, keep using it and do not apply again.
  3. Demand work from the Gram Panchayat, the Programme Officer or an authorised person. This may be done orally, in writing on the same Form 6 as before, or through a digital platform.
  4. Keep the dated receipt for the work application, because it is the proof that starts the 15-day clock.
  5. Work must be provided within 15 days of the application. If it is not, unemployment allowance becomes payable by the State Government.
  6. Attendance at the worksite is captured through face-authentication based systems, with an exception route where the network, device or connectivity fails.
