How to check the DSSSB draft answer key, response sheet and file an objection
The draft key is not a public PDF. It opens only inside a candidate login, so keep your application number and your password or date of birth ready before you start.
- Open the DSSSB website and find the objection link for the various examinations, listed among the highlights on the home page.
- Sign in with the application number for that post code, plus the password or date of birth you registered when applying.
- Select the post code you appeared for, then open the master question paper alongside your own response sheet so you can compare answer by answer.
- Mark each question you disagree with and attach a supporting authority, such as a standard textbook page or an official source, because an unsupported challenge is normally rejected.
- Read the help file provided in the same link before submitting, then save or print the acknowledgement for every objection you file.
- Submit before 23.08.2026. The board does not reopen the window, and objections sent by email or by post are not entertained.
DSSSB examines every valid challenge, revises the key where a challenge is upheld, and then publishes a final answer key, which is the one used to compute results. Final keys for post codes 03/25 and 04/25 are already on display through the board examination portal. Scroll to the Important Links section below for the direct, labelled link to both the objection facility and the final key display.
DSSSB provisional answer key and how it decides your marks
The board’s own wording is draft answer key, but candidates and most news coverage call the same document a provisional or tentative answer key. All three mean one thing: a key that can still change before results are computed.
| Marks and answer key question | What it means for a candidate |
|---|---|
| Is the provisional answer key final | No. DSSSB labels it a draft key, and it stays provisional until objections are examined and a final key is issued |
| How to calculate marks from the key | Match the master question paper against your own response sheet question by question, then apply that paper’s marking scheme |
| What a revised answer key changes | If a challenge is upheld the board corrects the answer or drops the question, and that correction applies to every candidate who attempted it |
| Which key decides the result | The final answer key only. Any score worked out from the draft key stays an estimate until the final key is published |
| Where your response sheet is shown | Inside the same candidate login as the draft key, next to the master question paper for the shift you sat |

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the DSSSB draft answer key for the July 2026 exams out?
Yes. DSSSB displayed draft answer keys for six Tier-II Part A papers held between 21 and 24 July 2026, through a Secret Cell notice signed on 17.08.2026 and uploaded on 18.08.2026.
What is the last date to file objections on the DSSSB draft answer key?
23.08.2026. The notice states the link is available from 18.08.2026 to 23.08.2026, and the board does not reopen the window afterwards.
Which post codes are covered in the 18 August 2026 notice?
Six post codes: Assistant Section Officer Tier-II Part A 101/23, Assistant Director Horticulture Part A Tier-II 28/24, Section Officer HR Tier-II Part A 08/24, Assistant Director Horticulture Tier-II Part A 21/24, Inspecting Officer Part A Tier-II 46/24, and Labour Officer Part A Tier-II 53/24.
I appeared in the 1 July to 25 July exams. Can I still file an objection?
No. That batch of 19 post codes was covered by the notice dated 10.08.2026, and its objection window ran only from 10.08.2026 to 15.08.2026, so it has closed.
Can I download the DSSSB answer key as a PDF without logging in?
No. The notices themselves are public PDFs, but the draft answer key and the master question paper open only inside the candidate login, using your application number with your password or date of birth.
What do I need in order to log in and view the draft answer key?
The application number for that specific post code, plus the password or date of birth you registered when you applied.
Does DSSSB charge a fee for filing an objection?
The notice signed on 17.08.2026 states no objection fee for this batch. As of 18.08.2026 the board has not published a fee clause for these six post codes.
What happens after the objection window closes?
DSSSB examines every valid challenge, revises the key where a challenge is upheld, and publishes a final answer key. Results are computed from that final key, not from the draft.
Will an objection be accepted without proof?
An objection is normally rejected unless it is backed by a supporting authority such as a standard textbook reference or an official source, so attach evidence for each question you challenge.
Where is the DSSSB final answer key for post codes 03/25 and 04/25?
It is already on display through the board examination portal, and the direct link is in the Important Links table on this page.
Is the DSSSB provisional answer key the same as the draft answer key?
Yes. DSSSB officially calls it a draft answer key, while candidates and most coverage say provisional or tentative answer key. All three describe the same key, which can still change before the final one is issued.
How do I calculate my marks from the DSSSB answer key?
Open the master question paper alongside your own response sheet in the candidate login, compare them question by question, and apply that paper's marking scheme. Treat the total as an estimate, because the key can still be revised.
Can I file the objection by email or by post?
No. DSSSB accepts challenges only through the online objection link published on its website, and only during the stated window.
Does raising an objection change my result automatically?
No. A challenge is only reviewed. The key changes solely if the board accepts the objection, and the revised answer is then applied to every candidate who attempted that question.
