Exam City Slip vs Admit Card: What’s the Difference?
A lot of candidates mix up the city intimation slip with the actual admit card, but the two are not the same thing. The city slip only tells you which city, district and shift you have been allotted. It does not carry your exam centre address, roll number or reporting time. Those details show up only on the UPTET Admit Card, which UPESSC is releasing separately on 30 June 2026. Treat this slip as an advance heads-up for planning your travel and stay, not as the document you carry into the exam hall.
What to Carry on Exam Day
Once the admit card is out, candidates should carry a valid original photo ID such as Aadhaar, PAN, voter ID or driving licence, two recent passport-size photographs, and a printed copy of both the city slip and the admit card. Calculators, smartwatches, mobile phones and any printed material are not allowed inside the exam hall. It’s a good idea to reach the centre at least 60 to 90 minutes before the reporting time, since UPESSC frisks candidates and checks documents before letting anyone in.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the allotted exam city final, or can it change?
Once allotted, the exam city usually doesn’t change, except in rare cases of a technical error. Candidates can flag that through UPESSC’s helpline before the admit card is issued.
What if the city slip doesn’t open on the portal?
Try again during non-peak hours, clear your browser cache, or switch to a different browser. The same login also works for the admit card later, so it’s worth bookmarking the portal.
Will the admit card show a different exam city than this slip?
No. The city allotted here stays the same on the admit card. Only the exact centre address and reporting time get added at that stage.
