SSC CGL 2026 Exam Pattern
The exam is conducted in two tiers (Tier-I and Tier-II) as Computer Based Examination (CBE). There is no Tier-III or IV in recent patterns.

1. General Intelligence & Reasoning
Analogies, Similarities and Differences, Space Visualization, Spatial Orientation, Problem Solving, Analysis, Judgment, Decision Making, Visual Memory, Discrimination, Observation, Relationship Concepts, Arithmetical Reasoning and Figural Classification, Arithmetic Number Series, Non-verbal Series, Coding and Decoding, Statement Conclusion, Syllogistic Reasoning etc.
2. General Awareness
Current Events, India and its Neighbouring Countries, History, Culture, Geography, Economic Scene, General Policy, Scientific Research, Sports, Books and Authors, Awards and Honours, Important Days, Inventions and Discoveries, National and International Organizations etc.
3. Quantitative Aptitude

Tier-II Syllabus (Key Subjects)
Quantitative Abilities: Same as Tier-I but higher difficulty. Focus on advanced maths, data interpretation, geometry, trigonometry, algebra.
English Language & Comprehension: Advanced level – error spotting, sentence improvement, vocabulary, reading comprehension, cloze test.
General Awareness: Same as Tier-I with current affairs focus.
Computer Knowledge: Basics of computers, MS Office, Internet, Email, Computer Hardware/Software, Operating Systems, Networking, Cyber Security etc.

SSC CGL 2026 Preparation Strategy (Smart & Effective)
Phase 1: Foundation (First 2 Months)
