Union Bank of India has released the Apprentice Recruitment 2026 notification for 1,865 posts across its branches nationwide. Applications opened on 29 April 2026 and the last date is 19 May 2026. If you hold a graduate degree in any stream, you are eligible to apply. Last updated: 11.05.2026.
This is a one-year apprenticeship under the Apprentices Act 1961, conducted through the BFSI Sector Skill Council of India (BFSI SSC). Selected apprentices receive a monthly stipend of up to ₹20,000 and hands-on banking experience — a strong foundation for future bank recruitment exams.

Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in any stream from a recognised university in India. There is no minimum percentage requirement. Candidates must also have proficiency in the local language of the state they are applying for — they need to be able to read, write, speak, and understand it.
Candidates must be registered on the NAPS (National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme) or NATS (National Apprenticeship Training Scheme) portal before applying.

The apprenticeship lasts one year. There is no automatic absorption into regular bank employment after completion, but the experience certificate from Union Bank adds real value to your candidature in future bank exams.
Selection Process
Selection is through two stages: an Online Objective Test followed by a Local Language Proficiency Test. The online test has five sections worth 100 marks in 60 minutes. Full details are in the Union Bank Apprentice 2026 syllabus and exam pattern.
