Category wise cut off marks

Three categories have no cut-off at all, because every eligible candidate in them was selected. That is stated in the notice itself, not inferred here.

Which quota you applied underCut-off, generalCut-off, women
Unreserved44.582941.7052

Backward Class33.4651same
Backward Class women29.462229.4622
SC, ST and EBCNo cut-off appliedEvery eligible candidate was selected

Two things stand out in that table. The gap between the unreserved cut-off and the backward class women cut-off is just over 15 marks, the widest in the result. And the unreserved women’s cut-off sits 2.88 marks below the unreserved general figure, which is the 35 per cent horizontal reservation for women showing up in the marks.

How many posts actually got filled

This is the part the result summary does not spell out, so we worked it category by category from the commission’s own two columns. Selection covered 65 per cent of the advertised posts.

Why the reserved seats stayed empty

It would be easy to read a 21 per cent fill rate in the Scheduled Caste category as fierce competition. The notice says the opposite, and the distinction matters to anyone deciding whether to prepare for the next cycle.

What the numbers meanThe reading
SC filled 595 of 2,853Roughly one seat in five. The single largest shortfall in the result.
EBC filled 1,684 of 3,117Just over half.
Why no cut-off is printed for themThe commission selected every eligible candidate in SC, ST and EBC. There was no line to draw.
So the shortfall is not competitionSeats went unfilled because there were not enough qualifying candidates, not because the contest was hard.
What that suggests for next timeIn these categories the binding constraint has been supply of qualified applicants rather than the mark needed.

Disability posts carried forward

Which disability quotaWhat happened
Visually impaired78 posts, nobody selected. The notice records that no eligible candidate was available.
Hearing impaired79 posts, 1 selected.
Locomotor disability79 posts, 10 selected.
Mental illness and multiple disability78 posts, 2 selected.
What happens to the rest301 of the 314 disability posts are carried forward to a later recruitment year and marked as unreserved for now.
Freedom fighter descendants156 posts, 3 selected.

How to check your name in the merit list

  1. Open the commission’s result page for advertisement 23/2025.
  2. Download the result document. It is large, close to 64 MB, so use a stable connection rather than mobile data.
  3. Page one carries the summary table of vacancies, selections and cut-off marks.
  4. The category-wise selected lists follow from page two onward.
  5. Find your own category section first, then look for your roll number inside it.

The document is a scan, so a text search inside the PDF will not find your roll number. You have to read the pages for your category.

Name not listed, what that means

SituationWhat it indicates
Not in an SC, ST or EBC listSince every eligible candidate in these categories was selected, absence points to an eligibility condition not being met rather than a mark falling short.
Not in the unreserved listA cut-off did apply here, 44.5829 for general and 41.7052 for women, so the mark is the likely reason.
Equal marks with someone selectedThe notice states that where marks tie, the older candidate is placed higher in the merit list.
You attended document verificationThe objection window for those candidates ran 25.07.2026 to 29.07.2026 and has closed.
Where to raise it nowThe commission’s helpdesk operates on the toll-free number published on its site, between 10:00 and 18:00.
